Moderne Bildgebungstechniken ermöglichen einen immer präziseren Einblick in das Gehirn von Patientinnen und Patienten. Nicht selten werden dabei umschriebene Läsionen entdeckt - klinisch asymptomatisch und am ehesten ischämisch bedingt. Warum sich eine tiefere Auseinandersetzung mit diesen stummen Hirninfarkten lohnt.
